Reasons Why You Are Afraid of Your Emotions!

Recently, I've been awakened to the reality that many people fear emotion. They embrace stoicism as an honorable state and reject emotions and feelings. They slam the door of their heart and lock it up, pretending courage, unfettered by circumstances.

But never has there been a more inviting time to investigate your heart, get curious about what’s knocking at that door, and open yourself up to owning and integrating with your story.

This is true bravery. Not holding a stiff upper lip and denying that you are feeling something, but defying suppression, step into the awakening and answer the question, what’s going on with me? What am I feeling? Why do I feel sad?

Emotions are messengers. They share the key that unlocks the mystery of you. And when you choose to neglect that part of you that is trying to speak truth; when you dissociate and stuff and run, your emotions will send that message to other parts of your body, hoping to get your attention.
